The forest sector continues to be an immensely gender segregated sector. SNS wants to change that. We want to be a positive and creative force in making the sector more gender equal, and we find that an immensely important subject. SNS require both genders to have at least 40% representation in funded networks (and welcome participants representing other genders). But gender equality in percentage isn’t enough, we want to contribute to changed attitudes and a new atmosphere for people of all genders in the forest sector.
Realizing that gender equality can be a difficult topic to address in networks we fund, we have developed guidelines to help our funded networks in this process.
