The ForestValue Research Programme will give a new call the last quarter 2017. The aim will be to transform the global economy from a dependence on non-renewable raw materials to a sustainable “bio-based economy”.
The total call volume with industrial co-funding is estimated to be above 30 million euro. That includes a EC top-up funding of 5 million euro.
Basic and applied research, close-to-market research and innovation actions are all welcome with their application. there will be two main areas: sustainable management of forests and innovative production technologies, industrial processing, products and services. Special attention will be given to currently underused potentials in the production and processing chain of the forest-based sector to develop novel ideas and create new markets.
