#IUFRO2024 is in full swing

The SNS Nordic pavilion at the IUFRO World Congress 2024 is a success, though with not enough seating! However, everyone who wants to join our events has been able to, even if some had to stand.

The latest event was a panel discussion on continuous cover forestry by our network CCBOOK. It was well-attended and very interesting, with various aspects of sustainable forestry presented.

Yesterday, we wrapped up the day with a lively, exciting, and useful workshop on how to write to get published in a scientific journal. Igor Drobyshev led the arrangement, that engaged the participants.

We also had a panel discussion on competitive sustainability and security, hosted by LUKE.

We have a wonderful mix of partners engaging visitors at our booth. The entire week will be filled with exciting events, so feel free to stop by! Next up is “Challenges and Nordic solutions for international forest science education”, organized by the University of Eastern Finland. We will also talk about gender equality and have open networking in the SNS Nordic pavilion later today, please come by!

The Royal Majesty, the King of Sweden, came by our Nordic pavilion to have a look on the remote controlled forest machine. He did not try it though. SNS secretary Jonas Rönnberg (to the very right) took the opportunity to tell a bit about Nordic cooperation in forest research.
