The main interest for OSCAR2 is forest operations research. OSCAR will not be a body within which research projects are carried out. These will result as a consequence of OSCAR workshops, conferences and meetings. Joint application writing should be encouraged.
OSCAR modes of work include therefore Kick-offs, meetings, seminars; a research conference every 2nd year, reporting from common activities through SNS reports and policy briefs, proceedings, workshops etc.; external communication via web sites and press releases.
