Call for applications: NOFOBE announces that a limited number of stipends will be awarded to Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSM<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/span>). The <\/span>STSM<\/span><\/strong><\/b>s are set up to stimulate mobility by supporting Ph.D.-students, Postdocs or researchers for short-term visits to any of the other institutions in the network or another relevant institution within the Nordic and Baltic countries. A <\/span>STSM<\/span><\/strong><\/b> can be a visit with a duration from one week up to maximum one month (four weeks). The financial support from NOFOBE can be limited upwards to 20 000 SEK per visit and may cover expenses related to travel and accommodation. Other costs may also be covered and must be specified.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility: Ph.D.-students, Postdocs, researchers and permanent scientific staff from the partner-institutions as well as from other Nordic and Baltic institutions working with topics of relevance and interest for NOFOBE<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/span> may apply for <\/span>STSM<\/span><\/strong><\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Application and funding decision: The call is open for applications, with no specific deadline. Applications will be evaluated on a running basis and stipends will be allocated on a first come – first serve basis, provided that the applicant and application meets the criteria set (1. \u2013 4.) given below.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Criteria (see also application form):<\/p>\n

  1. Purpose. A description of the purpose of the STSM<\/span><\/strong><\/b> with clear link and relevance for NOFOBE<\/span><\/strong><\/b> must be given in the application.<\/li>\n
  2. Deliverables. Specification of the planned outcome and deliverables from the STSM.<\/li>\n
  3. Confirmation. A signed confirmation from the visiting and the hosting institution involved.<\/li>\n
  4. In case applications have to be prioritised, priority will be given to applicants being Ph.D.-students or Postdocs, applicants coming from institutions being NOFOBE<\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/span>-partners and applicants who have not previously received funding for a <\/span>STSM<\/span><\/strong><\/b> from <\/span>NOFOBE<\/span><\/strong><\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
