On the latest meeting, the SNS board decided to fund four new networks in wood science and technology. This call was opened for the first time this year and now we would like to present the networks to you!
The reason for making a call for networks is to promote Nordic collaboration among researchers, stakeholders or communicators to develop Nordic wood science and technology, including wood processing and utilisation.
Wood is an environmentally friendly, climate smart material which today is increasingly used for construction of for example tall buildings. However, we need to know increase the knowledge about how to use wood for different purposes, in the best possible way.
SNS sees collaboration and networking in this area as important for the Nordic countries and this call is way for us to contribute to a sustainable development of a circular economy.
Read about the four networks:
- Better biomass utilisation by improved understanding of decay mechanisms in wood
- Nordic network for tall wood buildings
