Are you engaged in sustainability and bioenergy? You will have an excellent opportunity to talk about your research on the conference Governing Sustainability of Bioenergy.
The conference has four subthemes:
- Sustainability impacts of biomass production
- Policies and governance systems to assure sustainability of bio-based supply chains
- Data and methodologies to verify sustainable practices
- Stakeholder perceptions and engagement in relation to sustainability governance
If you want to participate, you are welcome to send your abstract to Inge Stupak (email@example.com). Deadline for abstracts is October 15.
The conference will gather scientists, researchers, policy makers, actors from relevant economic sectors and industries, NGOs and other interested persons. Scientific presentations will mix with stakeholder dialogue.
By bringing together researchers and stakeholders from the forest, agriculture, biogas and bioenergy sectors, the conference will create a forum to exchange views on what is needed, what is working well, and where the opportunities for improving the effectiveness and legitimacy of sustainability governance might be found.
The conference dates are April 17–19 2018, and the place is Copenhagen. The organizers are IEA Bioenergy Task 43 “Biomass feedstocks for bioenergy markets”, the SNS-NKJ network activity “Effect of bioenergy production from forests and agriculture on ecosystem services in the Nordic and Baltic landscapes” and CAR-ES III “Centre of Advanced research on Environmental Services from Nordic Forest Ecosystems”.
